David Eugene Dobbins, Sr., 76, passed away on December 12, 2021, at the Liberty Hospital, Liberty, MO. David was born on February 27, 1945, in Kansas City, MO, to June Carl and Claudia (White) Dobbins. He graduated from Penney High School, Hamilton, and then served his country honorably in the Army during Vietnam from 1962-1967. After his military service he attended Missouri Western State University, St. Joseph, MO, and earned a degree in small engine mechanics. He worked as a mechanic, and was a truck driver and farmer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Hamilton, the Hamilton United Methodist Church, and an active member of the Boy Scouts. He was also a member of Freedom of the Road Riders, a HAM radio operator, and enjoyed reloading ammunition, his guns, camping and fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and teasing his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents. On August 7, 1965, he married Barbara Jean Hewitt in Cameron, MO. She survives of the home. Additional survivors: Daughter-Deborah Hartley, Kingston, MO; Son-David Dobbins, Jr., Hamilton; and Daughter-Delinda Dobbins, Irving, TX; 11 grandchildren-Miranda, Kendra, Michael, J.C., Janette, Jeremy, Emily, Anthony, Ethan, Javier, and John; and 6 great-grandchildren with another 2 on the way.
